Page Numbers.

Just finished doing the page numbers there so we'l definitely be finished after todays meeting. Such a relief.

Brilliant.

Thats great news that we'l be finished today so we wont be rushing tomorrow morning to get it in on time.

Final Meeting today 5p.m.

Ok so everything is basically complete. We'll finish off the contents page in todays meeting so we should be able to drop in the full assignment later today. If this goes to plan then we wont need to meet again in the morning. Good stuff.

Correction of Minutes

Sorry guys just realised we were supposed to have all our minutes up on the Blog!! Just copied and pasted them all from our folders there, sorry again about the delay!

Minutes of Meetings



Date: Thursday 7th October
In attendance: Adam Caulfield, Jack McDonnell, Stephen Moore, James O’Kane, Sean Diskin
Location: NUIG Bialann

‘Mclovin and friends’ held our 1st meeting in the Bialann on the NUIG campus. It was decided that I(Adam C) would take the minutes of the 1st meeting. It was our 1st time together as a group and a good portion of the meeting was spent on introductions. JMcD and AC had set up the group and so decided to broach the topic of the MIS project. JMcD chaired the meeting. He outlined our options of which industries we could choose. After much debate, particularly between AC and JO’K it was decided we would analyse the hotel and hospitality industry. The meeting was adjourned with SD deciding that we would meet again the following day to designate what areas each member would analyse. This motion was unanimously passed.



Meeting 2

Date: Monday 18th  October
In attendance: Adam Caulfield, Stephen Moore, Jack McDonnell, Sean Diskin, James O’Kane
Location: PC Suite in the Cairnes Building

AC chaired the meeting. I recapped on the previous days meeting and confirmed that Hotel and hospitality would be our chosen industry. No complaints were raised. JMcD raised the issue of how the analysis should be approached. JO’K decided that we split it between past, present and future. This was passed by all members. AC then designated each member to different areas. The final conclusion was JO’K and JMcD analyse the past, SM and SD analyse the present and AC analyse the future. The meeting was adjourned, with all members promising to meet next week with information gathered on their respective areas.


Meeting 3/4

Date: Wednesday 27th October 2010.
In attendance: Adam Caulfield, Stephen Moore, Jack McDonnell, Sean Diskin, James O’Kane.
Location: Corrib Village

1.    Jack took the minutes of these two meetings.
2.    Matters arising from meeting 2
3.    James had done a lot more research on MIS in the past and we put nearly all of his information in the report.
4.    Adam decided that our next meeting should be on Wednesday at 2pm, as it will be directly after our MIS lecture that day.
5.    Sean, James, Steven and Jack agreed that this was a suitable time to hold the next meeting.
6.    Steven had gathered more information on MIS in the present through various websites he found on the internet.
7.    Sean proposed that he and Steven would meet tomorrow to pool their information together as they were both researching modern day forms of MIS.
8.    Jack informed the group of new posts’ in his blog on blogger.com and advised everyone to look at these posts’.
9.    Everyone decided that they each would have another 200 words typed up on their section of the hotel and hospitality sector for the next meeting on Wednesday 3rd November at 2pm


Meeting 7

Date: 2pm Wednesday 3rd November
In attendance: Adam Caulfield, Stephen Moore, Jack McDonnell, Sean Diskin, James O’Kane
Location: Cairnes Building

1.    James took the minutes of this meeting
2.    Matters arising from meeting 4.
3.    Jack wanted to ensure that everyone had set up a blog on blogger.com and knew how to do so.
4.    All team members had set up blogs and had already written in them.
5.    Adam informed the group that he had gathered information about the future of MIS in the hotel and hospitality industry. He presented the key points and all group members agreed they were suitable.
6.    Steven decided that our next meeting should be Thursday 11th November at 1pm in An Bialann. All group members agreed on this time and location.

Meeting 11

Date: Thursday 11th November
In attendance: Adam Caulfield, Stephen Moore, Jack McDonnell, Sean Diskin, James O’Kane
Location: An Bialann

1.    James took the minutes of this meeting.
2.    Matters arising from meeting 5.
3.    Jack reviewed all his information on MIS in the past with the group. The group selected and agreed the key points for the report.
4.    Adam and Jack checked to see if everyone had received all the scheduled meetings on doodle.com to date. The majority were attended by all group members.
5.    The group decided that each member should have another 100 words written in time for the next meeting.
6.    Sean suggested the next meeting for the Wednesday 24th November at 4pm in Friars, Cairnes building.
7.    All group members agreed on this time and location.

Meeting 14

Date: Wednesday 24th November
     In attendance: Adam Caulfield, Stephen Moore, Jack McDonnell, Sean       Diskin, James O’Kane
     Location: Friars in Cairnes Building

1.    Sean took the minutes of this meeting.
2.    Matters arising from meeting 6.
3.    Steven and Sean presented all their information gathered on MIS in the hotel and hospitality sector at present and asked for any suggestions for improvement.
4.    Adam asked all group members to have their written pieces ready for the next meeting. All group members obliged.
5.    James put himself forward to do the basic parts of the project, such as, the cover page, contents page and general overview of project.
6.    Sean scheduled the following meeting for the next Tuesday. All group members agreed.

Meeting 19

Date:Tuesday 30th November
In attendance: Adam Caulfield, Stephen Moore, Jack McDonnell,
Sean Diskin and James O’Kane.
Location: PC suite in Cairnes Building

  1. Stephen took the minutes of this meeting.
  2. Matters arising from meeting 7.
  3. Stephen asked for all team members to give forward their recommended format for the ‘Team Performance Appendix’.
  4. Adam suggested to put in screen shots of the blog and the doodle.
  5. Jack agreed and volunteered himself to do this.
  6. James emphasised the importance of detailing how we used these web resources and not just use the pictures.

Team Performance Appendix

Ok i'v done my section of the Team Performance Appendix so I'll forward it to all your email addresses and ye can add in your sections. Try and have it done for the meeting tomorrow at 11p.m.

Executive Summary.

Hey I'v finished writing the executive summary for the report so our report is basically complete. We just have to finish the team performance appendix, should have that complete in todays meeting at 5p.m. so we'l be finished by thursday morning with time to put final touches on the project for friday afternoon.

Late attending meeting on Wednesday at 12p.m.

Hey I'l be late coming to the meeting on Wednesday at 12p.m. because I have an appointment at 11p.m. so I'l give Adam my research sheets and he can show them to ye. I should make it for the last half hour of the meeting so talk to ye then.

Doodle Meetings

Doodle will send all of us invitations on our final weeks MIS meetings so check your emails and click your times that your available for these meetings. We must meet as much as we can this week to complete the assignment.

USB

Hey Steven,
                   I left my USB stick in your car after the meeting last week so can you make sure to bring it to todays meeting at 3p.m. because I want to finish my MIS in the past sector. Thanks.
